eFootball is Konami's successor to Pro Evolution Soccer. According to Wikipedia, it was designed as a free-to-play game with microtransactions and optional extra content, updated periodically rather than sold as an annual boxed release. Best for: 11-a-side football without paying upfront.
The best management game: Football Manager
Football Manager 26 from Sports Interactive and Sega was released on 4 November 2025 for Windows, macOS, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, with a Switch edition on 4 December 2025. Mobile versions are available through Netflix and, as a Touch edition, through Apple Arcade. It was the first game in the series built on the Unity engine.
